Monopoly Tournament at Crazy Train

Ok, its time for something different. Lets see if we have any competitive Monopoly players out there.

October 18th, a Saturday, we will hold a tournament at 12PM Noon. We will have 6 boards in play, 6 players per board. Your game will last for 2.5 hours and the top player from each game will advance to the final game. The final game will be limited to 2.5 hours also. A 30 minute break will be provided at 2:30, or when the last game ends in the first round. Following the break the final round will begin.

Starting game cash will be $1500 – which is two $500 bills, four $100 bills, one $50 bill, one $20 bill, two $10 bills, one $5 bill, and five $1 bills.

The bank will be ran by one of the players at the table, to be agreed upon by all 6 players of the game.

No properties will be distributed prior to game start.

The auction rule will be in effect:
Auction Rule – When a player lands on an unowned property and decides not to buy it at its listed price, the banker immediately initiates a public auction where all players can bid. Bidding continues with players offering higher amounts until no one else wishes to bid; the highest bidder wins the property and pays the bank. There is no official starting price, so bidding can begin at any amount.

Income Tax, Luxury Tax, or Chance/Community Chest cards will be paid to the bank, not to the center of the board. Free Parking will reward $100 from the bank.

Disagreements will be ruled on by Crazy Train.

The winner on each board will be determined by a player’s total score, which includes cash on hand, the value of properties owned (based on the price printed on the board), mortgaged properties at half value, and the purchase price of houses and hotels.

Cost to play will be $20.
36 players = $720 in the prize pool. 50% Rule in effect for prizes.
1st place – $360
2nd place – $180
3rd place – $90
4th Place – $45
5th Place – $22.50
6th Place – $22.50

Food trucks and the bar will be open. No outside food or drinks.
